Kids In Mission

Kids In Mission is a practical mission project allowing kids to put their love for Jesus in action. Bottles of Love is the name given to a mission project that will give our children the opportunity to help provide more than 200 Navajo children and their families safe, clean drinking water.

Two in five Navajo families do not have indoor or outdoor plumbing and must depend on community wells for their main source of water. La Vida Mission’s well supplies water for about 200 families in the Navajo community. The water is used for drinking, washing, watering livestock, etc. Currently the water coming from this well has a bad taste and an unpleasant smell. Most often the water looks cloudy because of sand particles suspended in it. The untreated water is not beneficial for gardens. It has a negative effect on appliances and sinks, and also stains clothing. Children and families across North America can help this unfortunate situation by participating in the Bottles of Love mission project. Children will use empty water bottles as banks to collect donations from family, friends, and church members. The goal is to raise $30,000 for the purchase and installation of a large water filter that will provide safe water for the Navajo families living in and around La Vida Mission.
